EDI in the Business process

EDI transactions with external partner companies are based on message standards (e.g. delivery instructions according to VDA 4905 or EDIFACT DELFLOR) and communication standards (e.g. ODETTE File Transfer Protocol, AS2, SFTP). In the past, local EDI standards (e.g. VDA messages) were mainly used. In the medium term, we will replace these throughout the company with the EDIFACT standard. The EDI benefit arises in the process with an integration of the EDI messages to the in-house systems at the partners, with the messages building on each other on the data side.
